Chuck Walker joined Sterling Talent Solutions in 2014 after completing a 32 year career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. As Senior Advisor – Public Safety Information Management, Chuck works closely with the BackCheck Management Team on aspects of the company’s operations that focus on criminal record and police information.
Prior to joining Sterling Talent Solutions, Chuck was the Director General of the Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS). Preceding this role, Chuck served as the Director General of the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC). Before these leadership positions in RCMP National Police Services, Chuck held other national headquarters roles that included managing the RCMP’s occurrence records management systems. Chuck led the national renewal of the RCMP’s Police Reporting and Occurrence System and he also established national programs for the RCMP’s Operational Communications Centres and for the deployment and use of electronic Major Case Management software. Chuck’s early career included operational policing duties in Alberta and British Columbia serving at several detachments including large municipal and limited duration posts.
Associated with the various positions that he has held, Chuck has served as the RCMP representative on the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) Police Information Statistics Committee, as the Systems Officer for Canada to the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Advisory Policy Board, as an RCMP representative on the CACP Information and Communications Technology Committee, and as the RCMP national representative on the PRIME BC Operations Committee.
